Ideology Wars

I’d like to start with a proverb I stumbled across recently—Proverbs 17:27: “The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.”

In a time when threats of violence and name-calling are being excused as political opinion or journalism, we need to back away, emotionally so we can look at the bigger picture, rationally if we hope to have a more accurate world view, leading to peace.

Today, as we’re swimming in data, opinions, and endless chatter, that ancient wisdom hits hard. It’s not just about knowing stuff—it’s about what you do with it, how you process it. And that’s where we’re headed today.

Before the Information Age, humanity went through two MAJOR SHIFTS: the Agricultural Age and the Industrial Age. Way back in the Agricultural Age, we figured out how to farm, domesticate animals, and settle down. It was the birth of civilization as we know it—communities rooted in the land. Then came the Industrial Age, where machines took over. Factories sprang up, manufacturing boomed, and we shifted from plows to production lines. Economies were transformed, and so was society.
Fast forward to now: the Information Age. It started with the digital revolution—computers, the internet, all of it. Suddenly, information is accessible to everyone. But here’s the catch: with all that access comes a fight. The battle for your mind- in the commercial world it’s called mind share. But it’s not just businesses, but globalist controllers who want to influence ideologies.

You’ve heard the term “information war,” right? Look at Alex Jones and Infowars—it’s blown up because it taps into something real. And yes, getting the truth out matters— it’s critical. But what happens when that truth lands in your head? That’s where the real war kicks in: the mind war, the ideology war.
Information without a framework is just noise. It’s the ideology—the lens you use to make sense of it—that gives it teeth. Right now, we’re caught in a clash of worldviews. On one side, you’ve got centralized control, collectivism, utopian promises that always seem to end in chains. On the other, you’ve got individual sovereignty, free markets, decentralized ideas—freedom, plain and simple. It’s not just about facts; it’s about where those facts take you.

Scale back and look at the long game. Some ideologies lead to tyranny masked as progress. Others, like the message of Jesus, point to peace, truth, and a way to cut through the madness. Not to shove religion down your throat, but I will say this: the Bible—those 66 books have been my rock. It’s the one thing that makes sense of all this craziness. If you haven’t cracked it open, give it a shot. Decide for yourself.

Speaking of perspectives, I want to bring in a clip from Bill Maher. He’s talking about Trump’s “Doctrine of Peace,” and while I don’t always see eye-to-eye with him, this one’s worth a listen.

Maher’s onto something with peace, but I’d argue it’s only half the story. Peace and justice? They’re inseparable. Without justice, peace is just a fantasy. And right now, we’re stuck in what feels like a progressive nightmare—folks pushing ideologies that sound noble but crumble under scrutiny. The Bible’s got plenty to say about that too—how the righteous stand firm while the reckless fall apart. Common sense backs it up: accountability matters. Exposing corruption, calling out the criminals—that’s step one to a peaceful society. But it’s not just about fighting the bad guys. What about peace itself? How do we build it? That’s the endgame, the whole point of this podcast. And it’s been my mindset for decades.

And that brings me to a project I’ve been working on- Let me take you back 30 years. I was younger, maybe a little greener, but the core values were the same. I started a project called “Pedal for Peace.” The idea was simple: hop on a bike, ride across borders, deliver postcards to connect people—strangers turned into a global community, one pedal at a time. It wasn’t about fixing everything overnight; it was about planting seeds. Since then, I’ve learned a ton—how the world really works, the gritty realism behind the ideals. But the mission hasn’t changed: peace and justice go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other.

June 3rd of this year will be the 30-year anniversary of that ride and I’ve decided to write a book about it. Because it’s good to be aware of what’s going on politically, but there is so much division going on in the world- and we know a lot of that is by design, but we also need to talk about PEACE, which is the whole point, and what we all want. And that is something that transcends politics. If you’d to support this project, you can learn more here: https://libertynow.com/peace/

So where does that leave us in this Information Age? The war’s real, folks—not just for your attention, but for your soul. We’ve got to think long-term, not short-term. Forget the “do what thou wilt” chaos—it’s about what’s best for you, for the people you love, down the road. Good versus evil, plain and simple. And yeah, there’s a book that spells it all out: the Bible. It’s not just scripture; it’s a manual for navigating this mess. Read it. Wrestle with it. Make up your own mind.

The information war’s raging, but the real fight’s in your head. Arm yourself with truth, pick the right ideology—one that values freedom, justice, and the individual. That’s the only way to real peace.

Spread the love
